LONG BEACH PIER TO KNOTT’S BERRY FARM A 20 MILE PRACTICE WALK

This morning I was picked up by my manger and we drove over to Pine Avenue Pier in Long Beach. We then started our walk to Knott’s Berry Farm. We recorded some of the towns and our journey along the way. . It was amazing! We can’t wait for The Kindness Walk because it is going to be so exciting. We have a few surprises up our sleeve and one thing that has come out of this walk is our Buddy Belt For The Blind. We have aligned with Adapt 2 It , Home Medical supplies in Costa Mesa, and they helped us create, the Buddy Belt for the Blind. Because of the long journey, I need a guide, but this creates challenges, sore shoulders, back, hips etc for both the sighted guide and for myself. So we created this piece of equipment that really gives freedom to me, is not stressful for the guide, and for the first time when walking long distance I feel freedom, independence, and most of all totally relaxed. By the way we did reach our goal...over 40,000 steps and we both feel great! Stay tuned for more updates!
